The Swiss Canadian Mountain Range Association hosted the August 1st Swiss National Day celebrations for the benefit of the greater Swiss community. The event is only possible with the some 60 volunteers on the day of the event from both the SCMRA and the Swiss Society. A big thank you to all the volunteers that helped, the Swiss Choir and the Vancouver Dorf Musik.
We had traditional sausages, potato salad and a bun. Entertainment was by S Bahn, the Vancouver Dorf Musik and the Swiss Choir.
The obligatory speeches by the Club Presidents and our new Consul General of Vancouver – Thomas Schneider.
AT 9:30 we had our traditional Lampion parade with all the kids. Great turnout!
Thank you to Zoe Akiko from Akiko Archive for documenting our event. You can find her here https://www.akikoarchive.com/ . She does family, couples and wedding photography.
